Your Challenge:
Develops schedules; utilizes work management tools, makes assignments for design and engineering related activities to support site and company goals.
Oversees the preparation of new or modified designs based upon sketches and specifications supplied by engineering.
Monitors accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of required documentation for electrical and mechanical assemblies.
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the design group.
Prepares labor and materials estimates required for bid and proposal activities.
Makes recommendations on ways to reduce costs or improve the quality of the end product when alternate design concepts are developed.
What You Bring:
Mechanical Engineering Degree highly desired.
10+ years of mechanical design experience, in addition to prior supervisory experience.
Significant experience preparing design and fabrication drawings within SolidWorks
Preference given for applicants with electrical and/or automation systems experience.
Strong practical and theoretical understanding of manufacturing processes – CNC Machining , Sheet Metal, Metal & Plastic Extruding, Fabrication, 3D printing.
Quality Control Inspection and/or Metrology experience preferred.
Must have experience within Nuclear, Defense, Aerospace, or other highly regulated industry and the ability to pass security screening for unescorted access at Nuclear Power Plants.
Excellent project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and tracking and delivering on KPIs.
