The Marketing Content Specialist works within a highly collaborative team environment and partners closely with departments across the organization.
Essential Duties
- Brainstorm and write engaging, high-quality content to help drive leads and build brand awareness across prints, web, email, video, infographics and social media
- Edit and proofread content before publication to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, consistency, brand adherence
- Perform keyword research and produce SEO optimized web content
- Build and execute content marketing strategies for multiple service lines in alignment with short and long term marketing goals
- Use strong research skills to stay abreast of consumer and business behaviors
- Manage editorial calendar and collaborate with team members to ensure alignment, consistency and transparency
- Use content management systems to create, manage and publish content on the web
- Monitor and report KPIs and show continuous improvements
- Collaborate with the creative services team to create print and digital assets
- Collaborate with social media and digital specialists on social posts, SEO campaigns, and landing pages
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, specifically writing for web and print
- Knowledge of SEO, SMO, analytics, and other key marketing metrics
- Outstanding personal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with external vendors and freelancers
- Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and Hubspot
- Knowledge of copy and layout design tools such as Adobe InDesign
- Awareness of the sales funnel and consumer behavior
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently
- Outstanding organization and project management skills – ability to juggle multiple deadlines and experience with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Monday
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Proficiency in the English language required
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
