Marketing Content Specialist

The Marketing Content Specialist works within a highly collaborative team environment and partners closely with departments across the organization.

Essential Duties

  • Brainstorm and write engaging, high-quality content to help drive leads and build brand awareness across prints, web, email, video, infographics and social media

  • Edit and proofread content before publication to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, consistency, brand adherence

  • Perform keyword research and produce SEO optimized web content

  • Build and execute content marketing strategies for multiple service lines in alignment with short and long term marketing goals

  • Use strong research skills to stay abreast of consumer and business behaviors

  • Manage editorial calendar and collaborate with team members to ensure alignment, consistency and transparency

  • Use content management systems to create, manage and publish content on the web

  • Monitor and report KPIs and show continuous improvements

  • Collaborate with the creative services team to create print and digital assets

  • Collaborate with social media and digital specialists on social posts, SEO campaigns, and landing pages

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, specifically writing for web and print

  • Knowledge of SEO, SMO, analytics, and other key marketing metrics

  • Outstanding personal skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle internal clients with tact and diplomacy, and maintain composure and production quality under deadline

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work with external vendors and freelancers

  • Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, and Hubspot

  • Knowledge of copy and layout design tools such as Adobe InDesign

  • Awareness of the sales funnel and consumer behavior

  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently

  • Outstanding organization and project management skills – ability to juggle multiple deadlines and experience with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Monday

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically

  • Proficiency in the English language required

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
