The job is for the position of Global Head of Marketing for Citi Commercial Bank. The role reports to the Global Head of Marketing for Client Access and Markets & Banking. Citi Commercial Bank provides global banking solutions to mid-sized companies that are looking to grow rapidly and expand internationally. With Citi’s global network, financial solutions, and industry expertise, Citi Commercial Bank helps these businesses succeed across a wide variety of industries and at most stages of their growth.

This senior Marketing role manages the global Citi Commercial Bank Marketing team. This team is dedicated to promoting Citi Commercial Bank’s capabilities to our institutional clients and prospects around the world with colleagues across the Americas, UK, Europe and Asia. The role requires an in-depth understanding of how effective marketing, across a variety of marketing channels, can contribute towards the growth of a commercial banking business. The role is focused on raising awareness of Citi Commercial Bank to help the business win new clients and on helping to deepen client relationships by sharing effective content and communications and hosting high quality events to promote our expertise and the strength of the Citi brand. The role also requires a diligent focus on commercial outcomes and delivering a return on investment from Marketing campaigns and requires a good understanding of the industry and the competitive landscape so that we can differentiate Citi Commercial Bank. Managing budgets, building an effective strategy for Marketing, and connecting with senior business leaders in Citi Commercial Bank and stakeholders across the firm is vital to success.

Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible for overseeing digital marketing content campaigns that have a deep impact with our target audience. As global head, the role requires working with colleagues in the Commercial Bank Marketing team, and supporting teams at Citi, to plan and execute and report on outcomes. Being aware of the full marketing mix of channels and their benefits is critical namely: video, events, media partnerships, webinars, email marketing, podcasts, articles, social media.

The role will be responsible for overseeing our commercial media partnerships to ensure we raise the profile of Citi Commercial Bank in a targeted and cost-effective way. Working with Citi’s support teams and media agency to source opportunities and execute plans along with colleagues in the Citi Commercial Bank Marketing team.

Connecting with stakeholders in the business and marketing colleagues around the world to deliver a series of client/prospect in person and virtual events that promote our capabilities and brand attributes. Our events must be delivered within budget and give our clients a high-quality experience.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Working closely with Citi Commercial Bank Sales teams and Industry Sector teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with business opportunities and goals. Regular dialogue is required to ensure Marketing campaigns support business objectives. Having a flexible approach and managing multiple stakeholders is important for success.

Digital Analytics – collect and analyse web analytics and report on digital and cross-channel effectiveness, user experience and overall ROI on digital campaigns and processes. Synthesize results and identify actionable opportunities, working in partnership with Marketing colleagues to establish best practices and improve digital marketing across the board.

Marketing Budgets – working closely with Finance, business stakeholders, marketing colleagues and support teams to ensure all activities fall within budget, and that reporting to all stakeholders is timely and accurate.

Qualifications:

15+ years of experience

The right candidate will be highly organized, tech savvy, with demonstrated ability to deliver on shared goals and commitments. The candidate needs to have excellent technical and communication skills and be able to build strong working relationships with both business and other partners across the firm and third parties. As an expert in his/her field this individual will bring a can-do attitude to problem solving in a challenging, time constrained environment, in order to take digital marketing to the next level across the team.

Expertise in digital channels, technologies and related reporting and analytical tools. Preferably a knowledge of Salesforce and Seismic for example.
