Duties
As a Photographer (Forensic), you will perform the following duties:
Serves as a recognized technical specialist and authoritative consultant in photographic matters (laboratory and field operations) and in the establishment, development and application of special photographic investigative technologies where no precedents exist;The incumbent produces all types of visual communications products using traditional visual artist tools and/or computer graphics and/or layout and spreadsheet software desktop systems to convey intended information for both electronic and printed media;Assignments include application of advanced photographic and visual art technology to investigations in terrorism and security matters, crime scene response, designing alerts and reports, and specialized forensic matters; ANDPlans and directs a variety of intricate and specialized operations dealing with forensic and crime scene photography and visual arts. Requires the selection of cameras and lenses to be used, keeping in mind such factors as atmospheric conditions, available light sources and other factors which contribute to successful photography.

You qualify for the
GS-13
grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the
GS-12
grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:
Serving as a technical specialist and authoritative consultant in photographic matters (laboratory and field operations) in the establishment, development and application of special photographic investigative technologies where no precedents exist;Designing and producing photographic and visual art concepts, systems and highly specialized techniques to effectively record forensic evidence; ANDExperience in the application of advanced photographic and visual art technology to include: criminal investigations, crime scene response, designing alerts and reports, and specialized forensic matters.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
