Part-Time, Hourly, 10-20 Hours Weekly, Mon - Sun

Summary
The Church AVL Technician II (Audio Specialist) is a crucial member of our Tech Arts team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of audio, video, and lighting (AVL) equipment during weekend services, ministry events, and outside rental groups.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate audio equipment for church services and events.
- Collaborate with worship and event leaders to understand and support their audio needs.
- Perform routine maintenance on audio equipment and resolve technical issues.
- Train and oversee audio tech volunteers and staff.
- Engage in ongoing audio tech training for continuous improvement.
- Uphold St. Andrew’s and the Technology Department's values and standards.
- Deliver excellent service, especially under pressure.
- Support other technical aspects of church events, including stage setup and multimedia presentations.
- Work with the broader church team on various initiatives.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in audio operation and familiarity with event production.
- Experience with digital audio consoles, Yamaha consoles and Dante controller preferred.
- Ability to setup audio systems including speakers, consoles, and wireless systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Enthusiastic about audio technology's role in enhancing worship and events.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Adaptability to changing audio requirements and keen attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be an active member of a Christian church.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have live production, audio specific experience.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma, required, technical certifications/ education or equivalent work experience preferred.
