In this unique role, you'll curate and produce high-quality, relatable content to fuel our key communications, marketing efforts, and strategic priorities. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to design and execute digital campaigns across our websites and channels, including the Planetary Health Check.This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to make a difference, crafting digital strategies that amplify the voice of our mission and reach the hearts of people around the globe. If you're an experienced content creator with a passion for the planet, we'd love to hear from you!About Planetary GuardiansPlanetary Guardians is a new initiative in partnership with Prof Johan Rockström of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, Virgin Unite, and other partners to accelerate the Planetary Boundaries as a measurement and operating framework for the world. The latest research reveals that 6 of the 9 critical earth systems that keep our planet in balance have exceeded their safe operating space and are at risk of crossing dangerous tipping points. Our mission is to elevate the science to help humanity return to a safe operating space across all Planetary Boundaries and restore a healthy partnership with the earth. The initiative will be supported by a lean team of highly capable individuals with a deep passion for the planet.Tell me moreLead the creation and production of copy and multimedia content for the Planetary Guardians and Planetary Health Check websites and social media channels.Expertly translate complex content for diverse audiences, using a creative approach to content production and refining in-house and external copy.Demonstrate multimedia editing skills and collaborate with designers to create engaging assets that effectively communicate our mission.Collaborate on integrated communications campaigns, providing strategic and creative insights that align with overall marketing goals.Work closely with the Head of Community and Research to identify target audience groups and develop effective messaging and outreach channels.Maintain and update content for the Planetary Guardians and Planetary Health Check websites, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Produce comprehensive asset packages for partners, including the Planetary Guardians and our Advisory Council, as well as external collaborators.Liaise with social media and communications teams, and regularly report on the monitoring and evaluation of website and digital channel performance.What you'll need Passion for environmental and sustainability issues - A deep interest in these areas is essential for aligning content with our mission.Expertise in digital content curation and management - Strong experience in creating, selecting, organising, and managing digital content that resonates with target audiences.Strong writing skills for diverse audiences - Ability to craft compelling content tailored to different demographics and platforms, ensuring clear and effective communication.Proficiency in multimedia editing - Skilled in using tools to create and edit engaging content that enhances digital campaigns.Experience with website CMS platforms - Familiarity with systems like Squarespace, plus a background in working with design and development agencies to maintain and enhance website functionality.Project ownership and independent working - Demonstrated ability to manage projects from start to finish, showing initiative and self-direction.Collaboration on integrated communication campaigns - Proven success working as part of a team to develop cohesive, multi-channel marketing strategies, with attention to detail throughout.Agility in a fast-paced environment - Capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining content management best practices.Proficiency in Spanish is desirable.The extra detailsLocation: New York hub & your home spaceWorking hours: Full time - We embrace flexible working.
