ROLE AND PURPOSE:

Serve as a receptionist for the AISD Center for Family and Community Engagement Center. Provide clerical support to the Engagement, Equity, and Access division.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

? Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

? Must have two years of general clerical/secretarial experience.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • General clerical and computer skills
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

I. MANAGEMENT
  • Serve as primary receptionist for the AISD Center for Family and Community Engagement
  • Process emails, telephone calls, and mail daily.
  • Address daily requests for family and community engagement information.
  • Assist with contacting volunteer applicants as needed.
  • Assist with processing various volunteer data received from schools as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of volunteer information sent to campus principals, as necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of the volunteer applicant lists for the criminal background check process.
  • Assist with the preparation of volunteer program training materials.
  • Assist with the management of volunteer information as needed.
  • Follow district policies and procedures

III. SCHOOL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS
  • Greet and assist visitors to the AISD Center for Family and Community Engagement
  • Help establish positive public relations with department, district personnel, campuses, and community
  • Assist EEA staff in preparation for community stakeholder sessions and presentations by EEA staff.
  • Attend community stakeholder events as needed.

IV. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
  • Set goals and seek out opportunities to expand skills related to job functions
  • Attend professional development training to update knowledge and skills

V. MISCELLANEOUS
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director of Engagement, Equity and Access
