Clayton Services is searching for an
Instructional Designer
to join a thriving company in North Houston. The
Instructional Designe r is responsible for transforming orientation/onboarding, regulatory, and role-specific training material into engaging, interactive instructor-led, online, and on-demand training experiences with fully developed training materials, support documentation, assessments, and evaluations in English and Spanish.
Job Type: Contract - OnsitePay Rate: $30.00-$40.00/hour
Instructional Designer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Training staff to identify needs and develop effective training programs, materials, and assessments.Design, develop, and implement engaging, effective training that is learner-focused and aligned with business goals using agile instructional design principles.Develop documentation such as job aids, reference guides, and online assets that reinforce learning.Evaluate training program effectiveness and identify improvement areas.Follow emerging trends and practices in instructional design, adult learning, and technologies that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality training solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with business objectives and meet customer needs.Guide and support trainers, facilitators, coaches, mentors, and assessors on the effective delivery of developed training programs.Communicate with stakeholders effectively to ensure training programs are delivered on time, on budget, and with the desired outcomes.
Instructional Designer
Skills and Abilities:
Application of Instructional Design principles (backward design, ADDIE, Dick, and Carey)Tools such as Storyline/Articulate 360, Camtasia, SnagIt, Acrobat, MS Office Suite including SharePoint and OneDrive,Storyboarding, audio/voiceovers, and video editing using tools such as MS Stream, Clipchamp, or SnagIt video.English and Spanish (Latin American/Mexican) languages, both verbal and written.Application of a learning management system, especially SAP SuccessFactors, to deploy learning solutions.Learning metrics and analytics for training efficiency, effectiveness, and outcomesPortfolio showcasing thoughtful, innovative designs.Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment and meet quick deadlines using project and time management skills.Build partnerships with internal stakeholders and subject experts to plan, design, and develop training.Accomplished adult learning professional in the design and development of training in multiple modes - CBT, ILT, and VILT - who produces learning solutions that improve employee performance, which improves organization KPIs with an impact on business results.Critical thinking, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
Instructional Designer - Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in training, communication, education, instructional design, or related field.ATD Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD); ATD Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD); or ATD Certified Instructional Designer certification preferred.Four years experience in an instructional design role with at least three years of experience in eLearning development and deployment.Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.
