Learning Experience Designer III - Hybrid Remote (home and office in Portland, OR or Seattle, WA).
This position is responsible for developing high-quality learning experiences, particularly in support of Hanger Clinic's program-focused education tracks and specialty care pathways. Working closely with world-class O&P, rehab leaders, Hanger Institute and Hanger Clinic staff, you will design vILT and ILT learning activities, create online courses and programs, consult on instructional design, facilitate sessions, and collaborate on innovative uses of education technology within our department. Ideally, you have experience in (a) working and/or providing education within a health care setting and (b) designing professional education courses or programs by using learner research, needs assessments and innovative learning styles to produce top quality programs that meet our team goals and objectives.Your Impact
Design (50%)Collaborate and design learning programs and pathways using proven design models and adult learning theory for healthcare and medical professionals.Responsible for large-scale curriculum design and course mapping.Work closely with professional education/marketing leadership to develop courses for targeted programs.Design ILT, vILT and online learning activities that help learners apply what they are learning and achieve learning goals.Build out organized and user-friendly learning experiences using learning platforms (e.g., Adobe Learning Manager, Articulate 360 and Rise 360).Project Management (30%)Manage education-based projects: build consensus on learning design decisions with SME and team members; facilitate and update course development workflows; ensure instructional integrity with quality assurance checks.Work with instructors or other subject matter experts to draft and edit learning content.Carry out quality assurance reviews of course content and sites.Monitor online courses as they are piloted and help identify and resolve problems.Develop reports and dashboards to communicate goals and progress to education and marketing leadership.Ensure a collaborative relationship between Learning Experience Designers and all departments.Facilitation (10%)Lead training and education programs through facilitation, including facilitating panel, large and small group session, and online learning sessions.Other Duties (10%)Create workshops, templates, and design guides that support others on the team.Minimum Qualifications
Required: A bachelor's degree with additional experience sufficient to effectively design, build, test, and implement education offerings.Minimum of 5 years of related experience, Masters preferred.Additional Success Factors
Required:Three to five years' direct work experience in either teaching, instructional design, user experience design, online education, education technology, or a related field.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively.Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of learning quickly.Preferred:
