The Product Marketing Manager will analyze market trends and collect relevant data to provide direction to the development and positioning of key products and product groups. The Product Marketing Manager will work closely with the product development team(s) and other functional support team(s) to develop marketing strategy for a global specialty, a region, or a global product grouping that is aligned to drive the specialty’s business goals and the company’s brand strategy.The primary functions of this position are:Develop global go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with product management, sales, and global functions.Develop value proposition, claims, and messaging in alignment with brand guidelines.Engage with customers and SMEs to gain understanding of markets and customer needs and inform marketing strategy.Develop comprehensive and detailed marketing plans and materials for specific products/projects, in alignment with business objectives, brand strategy and market trends.Lead and ensure the successful execution of global and regional product launches by coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines, resources, and outcomes.Oversee the review and approval of campaign tactics and marketing materials, ensuring compliance with advertising and promotions regulations, as well as alignment with marketing goals.Assist in development of and execute strategic objectives for marketing campaigns and channels, including customer engagement tactics, events, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Liaise with doctors and surgeons on new product ideas.*** This position will be filled as a Senior Product Marketing Manager or Product Marketing Manager 2 depending on experience. ***Responsibilities
Develop global go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with product management, sales, and global functions.Develop value proposition, claims, and messaging in alignment with brand guidelines.Engage with customers and SMEs to gain understanding of markets and customer needs and inform marketing strategy.Collaborate with senior specialty leadership to link and align priorities, projects, and plans within the division/specialty.Recommend specialty business strategy and direction.Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for the mid-term (1-3 years) and detailed annual marketing plans, aligned with business objectives, brand strategy, and market trends.Lead and ensure the successful execution of global and regional product launches by coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines, resources, and outcomes.Understand and use customer personas and buyer journeys to develop marketing strategy and plans.Oversee the review and approval of campaign tactics and marketing materials, ensuring compliance with advertising and promotions regulations, as well as alignment with marketing goals.Recognize within and outside the organization as a thought leader in product marketing.Influence business decisions made by senior specialty/division leadership.Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees within specialty and/or product marketing.Define strategic objectives for marketing campaigns and channels, including customer engagement tactics, events, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Responsible for improving upon existing marketing and specialty processes, systems, and operational plans.Able to work independently and extensively analyze complex problems to understand root causes for a variety of unique and difficult issues.Manage large, complex marketing initiatives of strategic importance involving cross-functional teams.Develop and support digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and digital advertising, ensuring alignment with broader marketing goals.Leverage market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies, adjusting plans based on customer feedback and market trends.Implement and monitor metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies, adjusting tactics to optimize performance.Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences.Comply with travel and subsistence rules and submit expense reports in a timely manner.Understand and follow company quality policies and procedures with respect to Complaint Handling, Product Returns, Samples, Consignment Stock and any other areas as appropriate.Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.Qualifications
Senior Product Marketing Manager:Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or business.10+ years of relevant experience in product marketing.Experience in developing effective marketing strategies and plans that drive business goals.Global and domestic travel will be required.Analytical and problem-solving skills with an operations mindset.Experience working with sales and marketing teams.Experience in brand management and product marketing.Product Marketing Manager 2:Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or business.7-10 years of relevant experience in product marketing.Experience in developing effective marketing strategies and plans that drive business goals.Global and domestic travel will be required.Analytical and problem-solving skills with an operations mindset.Experience working with sales and marketing teams.Experience in brand management and product marketing.Physical Requirements/Work Environment: Ability to travel domestic, international, and weekends as needed occasionally, could be up to 30%.Other Requirements: Employee signs a non-competition and confidentiality agreements in relation to his/her employment with Cook.
