Duties and Responsibilities:

Products will be used in multiple mediums, including digital signage, website, social media, and other communication products. Products will have varied deadlines ranging from within hours of a request to longer-term projects spanning weeks. Material must be edited into a professional audiovisual product in accordance with industry audiovisual standards and be usable by commercial news outlets when specified.

Provide videography support for Command sponsored events, special projects, promotional material development, and other projects as assigned.

Maintain a reporting mechanism and digital archive of all videos developed in accordance with the terms agreed upon with the government lead.

Provide photography support of all Command Leadership sponsored events to include occasional evening and weekend events using Contractor Furnished Equipment. Photographs should be properly cropped, edited, and captioned with appropriate Visual Information Reference Identification Numbers, according to DoD guidelines to support archival and search/find of specific photo events on Government Furnished Equipment for use in other command public affairs products.

The photographer(s) will be required to provide immediate turnaround of select photos for all command events. All photographs shall be archived within two business days on government storage devices. Photographer(s) must have access for Contractor Furnished Equipment to process and transmit photos.

The photographer will maintain a centralized calendar of upcoming events as directed by the government lead.

The photographer(s) will provide a proposal for the development of the commanding officer's 'scrapbook' or other archive within 90 days of a new NAVSEA report date and produce the outgoing NAVSEA Scrapbook within 30 days of the NAVSEA Commander's change of command and/or retirement.

Manage operations for the command's external website and intranet in accordance with all Navy and DoD standards, instructions, and policies to include working knowledge of the American Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS), SharePoint, and Adobe Experience Manager.

Education and Experience:

Minimum 7 years' experience producing military and/or government graphic design products (short engaging videos, images, posters, infographics, digital signage) as demonstrated by the applicant's portfolio.

Familiarity with Photo Dex ProShow Producer, current Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience can be substituted for formal education in the fields of Graphic Design and/or Audio/Visual.

Ability to conceptualize, process, and produce audio, video, animations, and interactive multimedia material for a variety of audiences and platforms.

Ability to collaborate and synthesize complex ideas and initiatives into easily understood visuals for a variety of audiences.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to produce still and multimedia advertisements to support command communication objectives.

Experience in conceiving, designing, programming, and scheduling ads for digital signage networks.

Manage programming to support command information to synchronize with real-time weather, news, sports, and traffic feeds.

Demonstrated ability to write descriptive ad copy in accordance with Navy style under deadline.

Position requires the ability to translate complex legal, legislative, regulatory, and statistical information into simple language.

Ability to execute work in accordance with industry audiovisual standards.
