The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is seeking one talented communications professional to support our global mission in addressing transportation sector impacts on climate change and public health. The selected candidate will be hired as either a Communications Specialist or Senior Communications Specialist, depending on experience and qualifications. This position can be based in Sao Paulo or San Francisco, offering flexibility for exceptional candidates across these locations.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic communications plans for Spanish-speaking countriesConduct media outreach and build relationships with media outletsManage digital assets and social media channels for Latin AmericaMonitor and report on the regional information ecosystemProduce and edit research publications and supporting outreach materialsOrganize virtual and in-person eventsTrack communication metricsServe as a liaison between research staff and global communications team

Qualifications:Communications Specialist Level:Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, or public relations2-4 years of relevant communications experienceStrong writing and communication skillsBasic experience in media outreach and communications campaigns

Senior Communications Specialist Level:Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)At least 5 years of communications experienceDemonstrated expertise in developing strategic communication initiativesProven track record of complex media and communications management

Required for Both Levels:Fluency in Spanish and EnglishAbility to communicate technical information effectivelyExperience with digital communications and social mediaPreferred background in transportation, climate policy, or environmental sciences

Our Benefits:This full-time position will be based in our San Francisco, CA office and offers a salary of $93,000 (Communications Specialist) or $107,900 (Senior Communications Specialist). We offer an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, substantial paid vacation, retirement contribution with a generous 7% employer contribution, transportation subsidies, and other benefits.
