Job Description
Our client, a baby brand in Los Angeles, is seeking an experienced Associate Creative Director with a strong focus on ecommerce and digital marketing. The ideal candidate will lead the creative vision across multiple platforms, including social media, video, and packaging, ensuring brand consistency and innovation. They must excel in presenting creative ideas, managing a design team, and collaborating with cross-functional departments. Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite and expertise in social media content creation are essential.
Pay: $70 - $90/hr

Responsibilities:
- Guide the overall global creative direction in alignment with marketing, product development, and digital strategies, ensuring it meets business goals.
- Develop, design, and create captivating strategic content and creative assets for various brand initiatives and touchpoints, including video, social media, influencer campaigns, marketing and promotional materials, emails, print, branding, logo design, packaging, media, PR programs, and more.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and leadership across departments.
- Build strong partnerships with Brand Marketing, Global Marketing, Product Development, Ecommerce, and Social Media teams to steer the creative direction across the company.
- Maintain consistent application of the brand’s visual identity across all marketing materials and collateral throughout the organization.
- Ensure creative consistency is upheld in packaging and digital platforms across global markets.
- Oversee adherence to brand style guides, both internally and externally.
- Partner with the CBO/Creative Director to establish the vision for photography and direct all photographic efforts for use in packaging, social media, and Ecommerce.
- Execute a well-thought-out creative strategy that enhances the user interface across various digital platforms.
- Lead a team of designers and photo/video producers, demonstrating passion for the creative field and emerging technologies, while contributing innovative, inspirational, and relevant ideas. Ensure the Creative Team meets business objectives.
Qualifications:
- 10-12+ years of prior experience in a management role for design teams, preferably with a focus on interactive media at a fast paced start up.
- Strong communicator with the ability to present and explain creative ideas, reasoning, and solutions clearly, confidently, and transparently.
- Expert-level design skills with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, along with an ability to explore future tools to improve team efficiency.
- Comfortable using Word, Excel, and recognize PowerPoint as a valuable design tool.
- Skilled in animation and video production, with deep understanding of digital platforms and social media.
- Confident in creating content for Instagram Stories, TikTok campaigns, and videos of varying lengths, optimized for mobile and other platforms.
- Possesses a refined sense of music’s role in enhancing storytelling within motion projects.
- Proven ability to develop concepts across multiple mediums such as social media, digital, print, audio, experiential, and future channels.
- Established network of trusted vendors, from copywriters to stylists to video directors and editors, ready to support when needed.
- Social media savvy with a solid grasp on driving conversations and engagement across various social platforms.
- Strong understanding of communication design principles, ensuring effective use of composition, information hierarchy, color theory, and typography to convey messages.
- Demonstrated creativity in the Ecommerce field, with a track record of successfully executing concepts from initial idea to final build.
- Able to manage and prioritize tasks effectively while adhering to tight deadlines in a high-paced environment.
