Job DescriptionParadigm is looking for a mid- to senior level Visual Designer to support our client's software UI team. This role is suitable for a proactive designer, open to growth, feedback, and grounded in user-centered design principles. You will collaborate with interaction and visual designers to create new software product experiences, and translate design intent and narrative into cohesive, comprehensive, compelling, and clean visual experiences. Experience generating visual design mock-ups, rapid prototyping using Figma, creating motion graphics, using a design system, and deep understanding of visual design standards and patterns for mobile and desktop interfaces focused on e-Commerce is preferred.

Responsibilities of the Visual Designer:
Collaborate with interaction and visual designers to create new software and product experiences.Ability to engage with a cross-disciplinary team to contribute to the conceptualization, design, and specification of innovative consumer productsAbility to distill complex concepts and then quickly present rigorous flows and mockups reflecting a range of simple, elegant, and technically-feasible optionsAbility to create design mockups at high quality with fast turnaround, and ability to iterate quickly to visualize and evolve visual design solutions.Work closely with the software team to support prototyping activities with visual design mockups/assets, to capture and resolve bugs, including resolution of design inconsistencies, incorrect or missing graphic resources, etc.Aptitude and cultural fit to inspire and collaborate within the multidisciplinary teamUnderstanding learning experiences and creation of educational materialsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyThe ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously and multi-task in an agile environment.Be prepared quickly to grow into increased responsibility and autonomy as you demonstrate skills and reliability.Make design revisions based on feedback from design leaders and design colleagues; must be receptive to constructive criticism.Create detailed documentation and specifications of user experience concepts and visual design specificationsRequirements

Bachelor's degree in User Interface Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent.Minimum 5 to 10 years working as Software UI Visual designer.3-5 years of experience in the digital space with focus in eCommerce and User ExperienceExcellent visual standards and obsessive attention to detail. Sense of color, scale, harmony, balance, and use of negative space.Deep experience with user-centered design principles, methodologies, and user research.Skills in motion graphics, illustration, print production, presentations, concept creation and data visualization.Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills; passion for innovation and exploration; positive attitude; reliableSelf-motivated and seeks to solve problems independently.Strong skills in creative design tools (Figma - Mandatory, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite).Ability to prototype using FigmaIn-depth understanding of mobile / desktop design standards and patterns (e.g. native components, best practices, etc)In-depth understanding of Design Systems and contribute to their further development and maintenance.A portfolio of work showcasing your skill set is required for submission.
