The Instructional Design Professional will serve as a training leader for your designated business function and work with a larger integrated instructional design team.This role will be responsible for helping subject matter experts create effective instructional content while supporting and managing said content within an LMS (Learning Management System).In this role the Instructional Designer will leverage ADDIE standards in support of technical teams in building training definitions, skill-checklists, examination criteria, and course content for both Live Instructor and eLearning mediums.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (RESPONSIBILITIES):

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Use Instruction Design Standards to produce the following:Training Skill Targets, Objectives & Overall DefinitionsLead Discovery Sessions with subject matter experts (SME)Build Skill-Checklist based on SME inputBuild Examinations based on SME inputCoach and help build course content for live instructor lead coursesCoach and help build course content for eLearning online contentServe as the Training Leader for 1 of the below business functions:Sales TeamQuoting CAE TeamEngineering TeamNew Industrial Markets TeamTravel required: 10% for facility visits at any of 7 global factory locationsPromote and Elevate the Nexus Controls Internal Training BrandDevelop new technical training curriculums and content using Instruction Design techniques (i.e. ADDIE design)Drive continuous improvement feedback loop discussions to improve training

Success of this role will be measured by following:Net Promoter Score (>75%), Internal Feedback survey’s regarding training contentEffective create Training Content, accurate Skill Checklists, and effective ExaminationsLMS content integration into the overall LMS Architecture: Create, Maintain, ManageEffective student scheduling for live instructor classesEffective eLearning content access & organizationManage the Learning Management System (LMS) for Nexus controls business-Student registration process-Support Instructors on loading and managing Course Content and updates-Supports Instructional Designers in loading and managing course content and updates-Supports Training Coordinator when needed-Managing internal training requests for LMS enrollment and internal class alignment.

Instructional Designer for Services Responsibilities:- Define and document learning objectives- Work with SMEs to determine content for trainings- Create/manage instructional material: Courses, curriculum, student guides or training manuals.-Generate the layout of the learning supports.-Design content to optimize learning.-Redesign content to ensure it matches the learner’s needs.-Create visual, audio, and interactive learning tools.

System Administration-Manage SharePoint Training design repository.-Create automated workflows to increase efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:4 year degree, BS Chemistry, from an accredited university/college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years commercial experience)10 years 2 years Industrial Design Experience: ADDIE experience preferred but other Instruction design standards acceptable.Language Required: English Fluent
