A medical device manufacturing client is looking to hire a Technical Writer for a 6 month contract. In this position, this Technical Writer will partner with the Quality and Engineering team members to help develop and draft work orders and job specifications internally to ensure complete and accurate sharing of information with all other departments. The daily schedule can be flexible but we do need someone onsite 5 days a week.
What You’ll Do :Curate, edit and write comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.Employ diagrams, drawings, and/or other visual media to improve reader comprehension.Gain deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content.Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language for user success.Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project/product requirements.Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentationComply with document control policies and procedures related to document development, control, and revision control.Comply with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Skills Required:At least two years of experience as an effective technical writerProven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matterSuperb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detailExperience working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Experience in writing documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
This contract role is looking to pay $28-30 an hour, depending on skills and education
