We are looking for a skilled YouTube Video Editor to help bring our podcast network to life on YouTube. This role will primarily focus on editing full episodes into engaging clips and highlights to increase viewership, audience engagement, and growth across the platform.
You will be responsible for editing long-form podcast episodes into shareable clips, as well as editing short-form content for the page. You will work closely with our podcast hosts, producers, and content team to create polished, high-quality videos that enhance the viewer experience and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities:Clip Creation:
Edit long-form podcast episodes into shorter, engaging clips that highlight key moments, interesting conversations, and impactful quotes.Video Editing:
Cut, trim, and stitch together raw footage to create high-quality, polished YouTube videos. Ensure seamless transitions and a professional final product.Graphics & Titles:
Add relevant text graphics (e.g., speaker names, titles, quotes) and basic motion graphics to make clips more engaging and accessible for viewers.Content Optimization:
Create video thumbnails and add relevant metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) to optimize videos for YouTube search and visibility.Collaboration:
Work closely with producers to identify the most engaging moments for clips, and tailor each video to the show’s tone and audience.Trend Awareness:
Stay updated on YouTube trends and best practices for growing podcasts on the platform. Use your knowledge to create compelling content that resonates with viewers and encourages sharing.Channel Growth:
Help identify and implement strategies to increase video performance, viewer engagement, and subscriber growth on the YouTube channel.
Requirements:Proven experience in video editingProficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar.Strong audio editing skills, including cleaning up background noise, adjusting levels, and ensuring crisp, clear sound.Experience with creating basic graphics, captions, and text overlays for YouTube videosFamiliarity with YouTube’s video SEO best practices (e.g., titles, thumbnails, descriptions, tags).Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and highlight the most engaging moments of a podcast.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team of content creators and podcast hosts.Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.A passion for podcasts and video content, with a keen understanding of what makes clips engaging for a YouTube audience.
