We are looking for a driven individual to support our monthly financial review process. You will leverage financials and additional metrics to uncover and provide insights to Advertising's Finance leadership.

The Role
As a Sr. Financial Analyst on the financial planning and analysis team, you will partner with multiple teams across various products to understand their business drivers. This role will dive into details in order to deliver clear and concise insights to finance leaders.
Key job responsibilities
1. Support month end close process including variance analysis between forecast and actual revenue for finance and business leadership
2. Do deep-dives and ad hoc financial analyses to understand revenue and expense drivers and identify opportunities for improvement
3. Own consolidation efforts on product and partner facing initiatives
4. Drive the discovery of new metrics that tie the Advertising and Stores businesses together
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
