CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an Expert Character Artist to join our studio in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. This candidate will bring their years of expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for creating life-like characters to help drive the next generation of high fidelity characters in games.

Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an Expert Character Artist to join our studio in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. This candidate will bring their years of expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for creating life-like characters to help drive the next generation of high fidelity characters in games.
Daily Responsibilities
- Works independently to create high fidelity character assets.
- Collaborate with rigging, tech art and animation to guarantee that models are optimal for animation needs.
- Help create and enforce best practices.
- Texturing and preparing assets for key visuals.
- Working closely with the Art Director as well as the art team.
- Maintaining and improving the character production pipeline.
- Write and prepare briefs for work with outsource vendors, review work as necessary.
- Work with directors and Production to estimate and plan work.
- Mentor other character artists and help build an environment of creativity, trust, and excellence.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently to identify and own work, deliver results.
- At least 8 years of experience in creating quality 3D models.
- Experience with sculpting and scanning pipelines for character creation.
- Modeling and texturing skills in a diverse visual range of characters and creatures.
- Very good understanding of human as well as animal form and anatomy.
- Skills in both organic and hard-surface modeling.
- Solid portfolio demonstrating expertise.
- Expert level skills with industry standard sculpting and texturing software packages.
- Design skills showing creative flair and out-of-the-box thinking.
- Able to deliver and receive feedback in a productive and accountable manner.
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
