Miami Children's Museum is looking for a new Studio Artist to join their team! This position will be reporting to Goulds Elementary School.
The Studio Artist plans, organizes, and leads art activities for children ages 5-10 at the Museum’s various offsite after-school programs. Activities/projects should introduce children to a variety of mediums and materials. Studio Artists will travel to two or more After School sites during the week.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and lead daily art activities for students in our after-school program.
- Train After School instructors in the delivery of these activities.
- Order and prepare supplies for a variety of activities.
- Ability to work within a variety of themes to create activities that can be incorporated into the Museum's monthly programs.
- Facilitate art-based learning for children through different art forms and mediums
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to create art-based activities with and for children.
- Experience with art education programs for children.
- Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
- Strong knowledge and ability in art.
- Knowledge of theater and set design.
- Bachelor's Degree in an art-related field is preferred.
- Reliable transportation.
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
