Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and operation of broadcast equipment for live events.
- Ensure seamless operation of Ross Xpression, Ross Mira, Ross Tessera, and Ross Carbonite systems.
- Configure and manage Evertz-Magnum routers and switches for optimal broadcast performance.
- Operate and maintain Riedel Bolero audio PL routing systems and headset packs.
- Monitor and troubleshoot broadcast signals and equipment to address technical issues quickly.
- Support server room operations, including basic troubleshooting of fiber optic and copper connectivity issues.
- Maintain and organize equipment, including routine testing, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Document equipment configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs thoroughly.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure broadcast needs are met and provide technical support as needed.
- Stay informed about industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements and upgrades.
* Work along side the production team, leading and guiding the broadcast production flow.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in broadcast or broadcast engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of Ross Xpression, Ross Mira, Ross Tessera, and Ross Carbonite systems.
- Proficiency in operating and managing Evertz - Magnum routers and switches.
- Experience with Riedel Bolero audio PL routing systems and headset packs.
- Familiarity with server room environments and basic understanding of fiber optic and copper connectivity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure during live broadcasts.
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented approach.
- Knowledge of esports is recommended but not required.
- Basic understanding of broadcasting production flow.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or formal training in broadcast engineering or a related field.
- Experience with additional broadcast systems and equipment.
- Understanding of emerging technologies and best practices in broadcast engineering.
