We value ambition, dedication, and innovation, and believe in building a network of talented individuals who share our commitment to making a difference.Senior Design Manager- Talent CommunityJob Description:Manage multiple projects, prioritizing seismic, critical repair, and retrofit initiativesSupervise a team of design professionals and others through the design review processOversee the district's design process, ensuring plans meet functional, budgetary, environmental, and legal requirementsManage projects through interaction with architects, consultants, and district personnel, guaranteeing timely completionOversee the building design process, ensuring compliance with district standards and guidelines for new and modernized structuresDevelop and implement a procedure for selecting the best architectural firm for each project based on qualifications and performanceProvide clear direction to architects regarding project goals, standards, sites, schedules, and budgetsEstablish an efficient design review process to ensure designs meet project objectives.Optimize budgets to provide maximum value while meeting the needs of the district, community, and environmentReview design changes to ensure projects stay within budgetMonitor project planning and design, reporting findings, recommendations, and updatesPerform other assigned dutiesRequired Qualifications:Required Experience14 years of full-time experience managing facilities design, planning, and coordinating capital projects that include overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and schedulingRequired EducationBachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized college or universityPreferred EducationMaster's degree in Architecture or EngineeringPreferred Experience4 years of experience in design, planning, and construction of educational facilities or similar public agenciesRequired SkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Licenses and CertificatesValid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land SurveyorsCLMI Group is an equal opportunity employer that believes a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to our success.
