OnBrand is American Express In-House Creative agency, our agency is on a journey for an exciting expansion. Our ambition is Become creative partner-of-choice to build seamless customer experiences for our Business Units, essential for driving results and unlocking value through deeper knowledge of our business powered by industry-defining creative excellence. We are focused on developing forward thinking ideas and work across channels, end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond.
The Director of Content Production leads creative production across photo and video content creation, and the manages and oversees the day-to-day operations of our Maker Studio. This dynamic creative team is made up of producers, editors, Motion and 3d animators and videographers. The ideal candidate will push creative and technological limits to deliver high-quality creative assets on time, within budget, and adhering to OnBrand creative standards, industry best practices and adhere to all enterprise requirements. This role will also contribute to positioning OnBrand as a thought leader in the content production space by actively participating with marketing partners, creative department upstream in the process.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must exhibit outstanding creative judgment and guide the production team in achieving the highest possible standards. The candidate must have experience working with creative teams, to help guide production with great craft and under budget. The candidate will report into the Head of Design and Content Production.
**Responsibilities**
+ Effective execution and administration of all functions related to production
+ Ensure production work is in line with the creative brief and meeting client objectives
+ Support and oversee the estimation cost and turnaround times for creative concepts, working within the limitations of the overall project budget and deadlines
+ Research and secure production resources
+ Prepare production briefs and ensure requirements are communicated to production houses and other approved vendors
+ Obtain quotes and manage negotiation and contracts with Operations Excellence Managers & suppliers
+ Handle all production vendor communications and meetings through pre-production, shoot and post-production process
+ Schedule productions, in collaboration with overall project timeline
+ Schedule & book all production components including production houses, shoots, studios and talent, stylist, lighting, cameras, and more
+ Ensure that all necessary insurance is obtained, and talent management guidelines are adhered to
+ Ensure effective budget control throughout the production process
+ Oversee post-production and editing process and ensure best practices
+ Quality control to ensure deliverables meet world-class production standards
+ Develop and mentor all talent levels.
+ Contribute to the creation of budgets and timelines
+ Oversee production schedule as well as costs and scope
+ Effectively communicate status, roadblocks, and opportunities at all stages
+ Maintain project documentation
+ Help manage the resourcing of our editors, motion designers and shooters.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Passion for guiding creative ideas from production brief through launch
+ 12 years in production at an agency, production company or similar environment
+ 5 years of experience leading teams of producers and content creators
+ Strong relationships with a large roster of trusted production vendors, contacts, and studios
+ Ability to assess production needs (resources, skills, equipment, etc.) via a working knowledge of production fundamentals, discipline expertise and craft expectations
+ Strong understanding of the creative process for digital, video and print
+ Experience working with creative teams, developers, producers, and managing external vendors
+ History of strong conceptual thinking in an agency or related production environment
+ A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical-thinking and analytical skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
+ Ability to keep multiple workstreams on track while meeting tight deadlines and adapting to late-breaking changes
+ Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills
+ Effective negotiation and positive-minded problem-solving skills
+ Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
+ Ability to interact with internal co-workers and external clients and vendors at a variety of levels and across functions
+ Experience with managing a team; desire to lead and mentor
+ Potential after-hours work and overnight traveling to shoots and post sessions required
**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
