GLG's Americas Content and Events seeks an experienced professional to lead our Legal, Economic& Regulatory Affairs Content team. This role entails leading a team of professionals to create in-person and virtual meetings designed primarily to engage financial services clients. The team is looking for someone passionate about capital markets and analyzing industries, who desires to understand investors' hypotheses, to identify the best experts to address the most relevant angle, to develop a community of likeminded clients, and to lead deep interviews to assist investors with their diligence. The ideal candidate should have a passion for current events with the ability to cover a broad variety of subject areas, come up to speed quickly, and distill that knowledge effectively to lead impactful conversations. This opportunity requires commercial drive, excellent teamwork, coaching and mentoring of less experienced professionals, and the ability to participate in implementation of broader initiatives.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
•Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, policy experts makers, and other thought leaders across a broad variety of industries
•"Connect the dots" between breaking news or topics of ongoing interest and investor priorities to host interactive events based on these issues, including selecting participants, moderating the discussion, and preparing the initial line of questioning
•Position and market these events both internally to business development/client servicing teams and directly to GLG clients
•Contribute to the design, development, positioning and marketing of our Events and Content products
•Work as part of collaborative interoffice team to deliver results
An ideal candidate will have the following:
•At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
•A background in industry or policy research, equity research, marketing, journalism and/or communications
•Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
•Must be confident, persuasive, and able to discuss a variety of subjects and to navigate challenging client situations
•A strong work ethic and desire to manage many highly complex tasks while maintaining attention to detail, and work in an autonomous and fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Strong relationship-building skills, and a desire to communicate in-person, via email, and telephone with clients and senior thought leaders and experts

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$94,200-$115,000 USD
