SUMMARY BSE Global ("BSE") is a multifaceted sports and entertainment business that brings people together to experience music, sports, and culture through our teams and venue. BSE is developing a modern media company that champions the spirit and attitude of Brooklyn and amplifies it to the world. Rooted in digital storytelling across all channels and formats, we will cultivate a highly-engaged global audience by reaffirming the connective threads that tie sports, music, fashion and sneakers, and food not just to Brooklyn geographically, but in how they're embedded into its DNA. We are assembling a team of agile, culturally fluent, entrepreneurial-minded talent who will craft the vision strategy and tactics to bring this initiative to life. We believe that our team should mirror the diversity of the Brooklyn communities that have shaped culture, so we can create content that authentically reflects and resonates beyond the borough's borders. BSE is seeking a Freelance Social Video Producer who will be responsible for the development and implementation of our short-form video production, providing solutions to stimulate audience growth, and assisting in content development and distribution optimization across BSE's Media properties. This role will play a vital role in launching and building our presence on social media and will report into the Director of Content.

JOB DESCRIPTION - WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Ideate, develop, and produce social video content across Brooklyn Media's social platforms, at a minimum of 3 videos per week
  • Keep up with timely trending topics on social media and develop content based off those trends
  • Identify and monitor trends in pop culture, sports, music, and fashion
  • Collect and communicate best practices for vertical social video, ensuring content is optimized for each social platforms
  • Cover shoots and events, producing timely video content for Brooklyn Media
  • Analyze social media metrics and insights for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X (Formerly Twitter) to inform video strategy refinement and optimize performance
  • Work and communicate with editorial team to develop timely video content
  • Edit, produce, and publish videos in timely manner (both remotely & in-person)
  • Capture and publish content on social media platforms at tentpole events
  • Ideate evergreen and rapid-fire content concepts for tentpole events
  • Assist in video editing for other long-form projects
  • Work on camera as talent when applicable or work off camera as a producer when applicable
WHO YOU ARE
  • 2+ years of social media, video production, or editing experience with a publisher or brand
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, and other in-app editing software
  • Strong understanding of the social media landscape inclusive of platform-specific strategies and processes
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Passionate about content trends with knowledge of current and emerging social products, editorial formats, emerging creators, and platform features
  • Ability to ideate and execute creative concepts and ideas
  • Strong knowledge of food, music, pop culture, & sports culture is preferred
  • Expertise with social media measurement tools and reporting
  • Ability to turn around video content in a timely manner
  • Has self-management skills and a take-charge attitude
  • Willingness to jump in when and where needed in service of team success
  • Ability to develop important, trust-based working relationships
  • Willingness to complete an edit test


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS May be required to travel on occasions; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

SALARY RANGE

$30-35/hour; 40 hours/week

WORK ENVIRONMENT Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be encouraged to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
