BSE is seeking a Freelance Social Video Producer who will be responsible for the development and implementation of our short-form video production, providing solutions to stimulate audience growth, and assisting in content development and distribution optimization across BSE's Media properties. This role will play a vital role in launching and building our presence on social media and will report into the Director of Content.
JOB DESCRIPTION -
WHAT YOU'LL DOIdeate, develop, and produce social video content across Brooklyn Media's social platforms, at a minimum of 3 videos per weekKeep up with timely trending topics on social media and develop content based off those trendsIdentify and monitor trends in pop culture, sports, music, and fashionCollect and communicate best practices for vertical social video, ensuring content is optimized for each social platformsCover shoots and events, producing timely video content for Brooklyn MediaAnalyze social media metrics and insights for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X (Formerly Twitter) to inform video strategy refinement and optimize performanceWork and communicate with editorial team to develop timely video contentEdit, produce, and publish videos in timely manner (both remotely & in-person)Capture and publish content on social media platforms at tentpole eventsIdeate evergreen and rapid-fire content concepts for tentpole eventsAssist in video editing for other long-form projectsWork on camera as talent when applicable or work off camera as a producer when applicableWHO YOU ARE
2+ years of social media, video production, or editing experience with a publisher or brandProficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, CapCut, and other in-app editing softwareStrong understanding of the social media landscape inclusive of platform-specific strategies and processesWillingness to work nights and weekends as neededPassionate about content trends with knowledge of current and emerging social products, editorial formats, emerging creators, and platform featuresAbility to ideate and execute creative concepts and ideasStrong knowledge of food, music, pop culture, & sports culture is preferredExpertise with social media measurement tools and reportingAbility to turn around video content in a timely mannerHas self-management skills and a take-charge attitudeWillingness to jump in when and where needed in service of team successAbility to develop important, trust-based working relationshipsWillingness to complete an edit test
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to travel on occasions; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
SALARY RANGE
$30-35/hour; 40 hours/week
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Works primarily in an office environment but upon request will be encouraged to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
