This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned leader with a profound commitment to civil rights and a comprehensive understanding of the diverse stakeholders in our community.The successful candidate will:Manage a talented team of 20 and oversee a significant budget.Ensure the consistency and excellence of our brand and communications.Act as the organization’s spokesperson, particularly for the Hispanic community and market.Develop and implement successful, multi-platform advocacy campaigns.Build and maintain robust media relations and partnerships.Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Advancement and External Affairs.Work with a variety of constituencies, demonstrating exceptional managerial capabilities.Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (a Master’s degree is a plus) and have at least 15 years of impactful experience in nonprofit and government communications. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, along with the ability to translate complex policy issues into engaging communications.This role is integral to our mission, and we are excited to find someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Travel is minimal, at less than 10%.
