Job Description
To provide a range of therapeutic activities to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), General Outpatient Psychiatry Department. Responsibilities include admission assessment, contribution to treatment plan, clinical progress note documentation for individual and group sessions. Develop/ implement daily therapy group programming for outpatient.Engage with patients presenting with SPMI and other related conditions via the Virtual Express Care program. Work closely with a multidiscipline team.
Minimum Qualifications
Assignment Level I
1. A valid License or Limited Permit issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a Creative Arts Therapist. Employees working with a Limited Permit must obtain
Licensure within two years from their date of appointment.
Assignment Level II
1. A valid License issued by the New York State Education Department to practice as a
Creative Arts Therapist; and
2. Two years of full-time, paid, professional experience in creative arts therapy.
Assignment Level III
In addition to meeting the requirements for Assignment Levels II, Assignment Level III
requires:
1. One additional year of experience.
Department Preferences
Experience in Inpatient/ Outpatient Psychiatry providing patient centered sessions
Able to conduct wellness sessions effectively with patients
Knowledge of telehealth
Comfort with an SPMI population
Tour 2: 9:00am-5:00pm

Job Description

- Provide a variety of therapy sessions that engages patients and provide positive therapeutic patient experience.
- Perform required daily group programing that meet the needs of a diverse client population
- Perform required assessments & clinical documentation.
- Able to supervise students/ designated staff.
- Maintain supplies & group room as needed for sessions according to regulation
