Student Housing provides housing for approximately 9,000 undergraduates, graduate students and their families in over 250 buildings and approximately 3.3 million sq. ft.
Currently, Student Housing houses 51% of UCI's enrolled students (in conjunction with American Campus Communities, UCI's 3rd party housing partner) with a goal of housing 60% as part of the campus Long Range Development Plan. Student Housing also provides maintenance and repair services to student residents.Responsibilities:Under the supervision of the Marketing & Media Manager, the incumbent supports the implementation and enforcement of accessibility standards in Housing for all digital communicationsfliers, social media posts, emails, and other web content. Supports training of Housing staff on accessibility standards. Reviews and provides feedback on all content produced for distribution. Assists with editing, when needed, to bring content into compliance with accessibility standards. Serves as a point of contact for Housing content creators seeking guidance on technical requirements. Support the maintenance and enhancement of the public-facing Housing Website and Housing Staff Website. As part of the Marketing team, develop strategies and content ideas for social media campaigns and other forms of outreach. Produce graphic content, under direction from marketing leads, that supports digital marketing and communication functions including print, website, and social media. Collaborates in the development of marketing strategies that support the Housing brand and strategic communications with students, staff, and the campus community.Qualifications:Total CompensationIn addition to the salary range listed below, we offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding. The expected pay range for this recruitment is $28.49- $31.92 (Hourly).
Required:Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to effectively work and communicate with a diverse group of individuals.Ability to handle projects independently in a confidential manner with tact and sensitivity to campus policies.Basic knowledge of common University specific computer application programs.Verbal communication, written communication and organization skills.Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, and facilitation.Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a diverse student population.Strong written and oral communication skills.Ability to manage multiple work assignments, implement priorities, and seek guidance and support when needed.Demonstrated ability to communicate courteously, effectively, diplomatically, and professionally.Experience in providing administrative support with a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.High school diploma or equivalent experience2-4 years experience in website design and implementation;2-4 years experience in graphic design and multi-media marketing production
Preferred:Ability to navigate campus IT systems that support job functions. General proficiency with online systems to support specific training where needed.Basic knowledge of Student Housing and Student Affairs functions.BA/BS; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
