Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is looking for a skilled Event Specialist to join our team. We’re seeking someone who has experience planning and executing impactful internal and external events while working closely with diverse teams and stakeholders. In this role, you’ll work closely with business stakeholders and marketing teams to effectively budget, plan and deliver events that elevate our brand and contribute to our company’s growth.
As our Event Specialist, you’ll handle the tactical execution of corporate and recruiting events, providing support for internal meetings, industry events and tradeshows, career fairs and more. Your responsibilities will include:
Conceptualizing and executing creative event themes
Managing event timelines and logistics
Coordinating technical event elements
Assisting marketing managers with social media event needs
Processing invoices and preparing expenditure reports

Responsibilities
Event concept:
Collaborate with stakeholders to create and refine event concepts and details.
Budgeting:
Manage budgets and ensure we stay within financial constraints.
Vendor management:
Coordinate with event vendors, and program support/expansion as needed.
Logistics:
Organize logistics for shipping, venue selection, catering and other services as needed.
Marketing:
Support physical and digital marketing as needed.
Technical execution
: Support technical aspects of events, including virtual events such as webinars.
Guest experience:
Support the front-line guest experience, including registration, RSVPs and electronic communication as needed.
Post-event:
Provide post-event reports and debriefings on what went well and what could be improved as needed.
Brand compliance:
Ensure corporate identity compliance.
Strong interpersonal skills mandatory; must be able to work closely and effectively with stakeholders across all levels.
Motivated to understand global cultures and markets, providing valuable insights and guidance to teams across Jensen Hughes' global network.
Driven to develop a deep understanding of Jensen Hughes’ mission and business priorities.
Utilize marketing platforms to plan, execute and monitor workload, including but not limited to Microsoft 365 Products (e.g., Teams, Egynte, Planner, Lists)
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
2+ years of experience in event support and vendor management.
Experience in the AEC industry or related professional services is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Yammer and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., MS Teams).
Experience working in a global company across multiple time zones and languages, with a background in coordinating international events, is a plus.
Flexibility to work extended hours to accommodate global time zones as needed.
Ability to travel up to 10%
