Akkodis is seeking Python/ SQL - Design/Programming for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX/Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). Design and build scalable components for a major platform, ensuring performance and stability through code review. Rate Range: $58/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Python, SQL - Design/Programming job responsibilities include: Design and develop horizontally scalable components for the team's major platform. Review and provide feedback on code, focusing on best practices, performance, and stability. Act as a subject matter expert for code deployed on the platform, offering support to other developers. Write reusable and extendable code, contributing to the core platform development. Continuously simplify software design and challenge peers to improve code quality. Implement robust microservices and distributed systems to support platform scalability. Develop unit tests using frameworks like pytest or unittest to ensure code quality. Collaborate in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for smooth automation processes. Apply expertise in both functional and object-oriented programming, particularly in Python. Optimize data storage and management using relational and NoSQL databases for high performance. Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python and SQL. Proven expertise in both functional and object-oriented programming, specifically in Python.
