As a Design Director at Acrylicize, you will be a role model in the studio, contributing to and aiding the execution of projects from inception through to production, working closely with Project Managers and the Global Creative Director. You will help the team to grow by helping us to find the best talent and providing mentorship, guidance, and support for team members. This role provides invaluable experience and grounding to the entire Acrylicize creative process and helps to drive us forward towards our vision for The Art House.Salary: $114,400 per annumCraftSpearheading our efforts in creating self-initiated partnerships, identifying key potential partners and driving projects forwardActing as the guardian of all pitch documents, ensuring that they are creatively cohesive and easily accessible to the team for future referenceConnecting with new potential production partners from individual specialist practitioners to larger production housesResearching key opportunities to further our reach in the public art space and formulating submissionsWorking closely with the Global Creative Director to implement the creative process and formalise its use within the studioClientHelping to build out the ‘debate’ offering of the studio as a new revenue streamHelping on studio pitches with the support of the creative and marketing teams, developing creative ideas in order to win new projectsExploring data and metrics related to previous projects, identifying key learnings and objectives to ensure upcoming projects are as creatively engaging and profitable as possibleAssisting the PM team as and when required, offering support and guidance across the departmentForm strong client relationships that encourage return to future projects in the studioHelping to build upon the ‘activate’ offering of the studio as a new revenue stream and find a way to include on all projects in some wayTaking on feedback related to previous projects, identifying key learnings and objectives to ensure upcoming projects are as creatively engaging and profitable as possibleAssisting the PM and production teams offering support and guidance across to ensure only budget compliant design ideas are shared with the clientCultureFormulating initiatives to link the US and UK studios through work, social and creative means, strengthening communication and keeping a cohesive culture between the twoRecruiting the best possible talent across the company by liaising with hiring managers to refine job specs, posting on job boards and using Factorial applicant tracking tool to guide candidates through the recruitment processNetworking to build connections with new artists for The Art House, arranging studio visits and researching talent across the creative communityArranging frequent Friday lunch sessions in which artists and makers present their crafts to the team in mini Acrylicize CPD’sContributing to the WIP studio goals as assigned to your roleYou must have...Masters in Graphic Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Design Engineering or related degree3 years’ experience as a Graphic Designer, Architectural Designer, Design Engineer or related occupationExcellent skills in Adobe Creative SuiteAbility to travel to clients’ sites as requiredAttention to detail and a passion for quality in every endeavourAbility to demonstrate critical thinkingThe ability to meet deadlines under pressureExcellent team player attitudeA bit about our benefits...Paid vacation starting at 20 days per year, plus 11 bank holidays and 4 extra days vacation between Christmas and New Year when the studio is closedGold standard health, dental and vision insuranceEligibility to join the company 401k after three months employmentHybrid working, from the studio Tuesday-Thursday with Monday and Friday optional remoteHalf a day per month for creative pursuitsRegular socialsAbout usAcrylicize is a multidisciplinary studio made up of artists, designers, creatives, and makers.
