The Creative Manager is a storyteller that lives and breathes with a social-first mindset, always considering how the news, products, and lifestyle of the brand can be brought to life on our platforms to best engage our fans and attract new ones. This role is one of creative leadership – the Manager fosters an environment that inspires creativity, passion, continual evolution, calculated risk-taking, and the desire to be a world-class social media team that leads the broader travel and hospitality sector.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:LeadershipLead the Social Creative team, foster inspiration, and provide guidance and structure so the team can flawlessly execute on all projects.Coach the team and provide clear and constructive feedback to team members in service of their professional growth.Thoughtfully perform performance reviews to track professional growth goals.CreativeLead all content creation activities for the social creative team consisting of copywriters and editors.Create new global creative concepts and activations, ensuring core messaging meets business objectives of the organization.Lead creative reviews and brainstorms to develop inspiring concepts.Manage projects to ensure timelines are on track through strong team leadership and project management.Establish creative direction for all projects and ensure consistent implementation across channels.Technical experience in production environments with active sets that require flexible approaches.Ensure consistent brand look and tone across all creative materials and channels.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evolve creative concepts into clear sets of deliverables.Lead strategic conversations and brainstorm sessions to develop content strategy.Utilize data to develop performance-driven ideas that are organic to our brand.Drive brand evolution through ongoing development and implementation of brand guidelines.Communicate strategically informed and fresh creative pitches to senior leadership in high-visibility situations.Keep up to date with relevant industry best practices and provide actionable direction that keeps Royal Caribbean ahead of the travel industry.Partner with Social Media Director to stick within specific budgets on all projects.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:5+ years experience leading a content team consisting of 5+ individuals or directly related/transferrable experience.Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing, or Advertising.Must be fluent in English. Additional languages are preferred, but not required.Has a demonstrated ability to manage people and projects to produce high-quality content at high frequency.Creative-minded individual with an ability to conceive, articulate, and produce innovative ideas for new content.Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, creative writing, typography, and limitations of the socialverse; Must have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop graphic solutions.Meticulous attention to detail; clear and concise communication, commitment to producing quality product; deadline conscious.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) and ability to provide feedback to various forms of creative.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Flexible attitude toward evolving projects and environments.Previous experience managing substantial budgets preferred.The role will primarily be in-office at our US Headquarters in Miami, Florida with occasional travel (3-4x per year) onboard our ships and a WFH schedule on Fridays.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those requirements employees must meet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
