The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team and a significant budget, overseeing all aspects of the company's brand, and ensuring the consistency and excellence of its communications. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep commitment to civil rights and a strong understanding of the diverse stakeholders the company engages with. The VP will be at the forefront of driving the company's presence with the media, the public, and various partners, and will be expected to serve as a spokesperson, particularly in the context of the Hispanic community and market. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree being a plus, and at least 15 years of relevant experience in nonprofit and government communications. The role demands a proven track record in leading successful, multi-platform, issue-based campaigns and a strong background in media relations across various channels. The ideal candidate will be an excellent manager, capable of leading a large team through transformation and change, and will have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, and the candidate should be adept at distilling complex policy issues into accessible communications.
