Contract: W2, October, 2024 - December 13, 2024 (Extension/Conversion Possible)

Location: Reynoldsburg, OH (hybrid flexibility)

Pay Range: $40-47/hour (dependent on experience)

Brief Summary:

The Retail Store Designer will contribute to the design and development of retail spaces, from floor plans to storefront elevations, ensuring alignment with design guidelines and standards. This role involves collaboration with construction teams, generating design concepts, and overseeing projects from conception to completion, with a focus on international and travel retail projects.

Responsibilities:

• Individual contributor responsible for producing designs (from floor plans to storefront elevations), according to particular design guidelines and standards.
• May produce material takeoffs and communicates parts/takeoff revisions to Construction team.
• May generate ideas for new concepts including store architecture, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, layout and space planning.
• May assist in the review of construction drawings for design intent.
• Presents designs to leadership to solicit, analyze and incorporate feedback.
• May review site information from landlords and drawings from consultants.
• May resolve all design guidance to purchasing and construction teams.
• Attend meetings, coordinate with third party architects, present project, maintain timelines, answer project related questions and share information, work on test fits

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) institution or equivalent experience.
• 2-3 years experience of retail design in a corporate environment or in a design consultancy firm.
• Experience with AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, Enscape

Preferred:

• Strong Portfolio or Work Samples and previous experience as an in-house designer for high end retailers or Lingerie brand
