Senior Instrumentation Designer Job at SysMind Tech in Benicia

We are seeking a talented Instrumentation & Controls Designer to join our team at our Benicia, California location. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to design and develop instrumentation and control systems for a variety of industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise detailed instrumentation and control system drawings using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers to create designs, layouts, and detailed components/systems.
• Develop and update various diagrams, such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, and connection diagrams.
• Create and manage instrumentation construction packages, including work summaries, equipment quotes, drawings, and data sheets.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes (NEC, NFPA, ISA, IEEE).

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in instrumentation design or a related field.
• Associate degree in engineering, electronics, or a related discipline, or equivalent technical training.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with PLC and DCS systems.
• Ability to work on-site at a refinery and meet safety requirements, including obtaining a TWIC card.
