Overview:We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Designer with a strong background in the oil and gas industry. The role involves working closely with onsite engineers to both update existing designs and create new designs for refinery projects. The position requires expertise in instrumentation design, drafting, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:Design and update instrumentation drawings for refinery projects, including loop sheets and junction box drawings.Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Blue Cielo/Meridian, and SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) to manage and modify project drawings.Coordinate with onsite engineers and other design disciplines (piping, electrical, P&ID) to ensure accurate project execution.Conduct field walkdowns to verify designs and redlines, ensuring compliance with Refining Engineering Practices (REPs) and industry standards.Handle both capital project packages (IFA, IFC, As-Builts) and maintenance work, including submitting estimates and ensuring timely approvals.

Qualifications:Proficiency in AutoCAD, Blue Cielo/Meridian, and SPI.Experience with refining or industrial instrumentation projects.Ability to work onsite 40 hours per week and meet safety and security standards.Meet all site entry requirements, including holding a valid TWIC card, and adhere to safety protocols for refinery access.Strong communication skills to collaborate with engineers and design teams.

Work Schedule:Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, with occasional field walkdowns as required.

This role is essential in ensuring the successful completion of both capital and maintenance projects in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
