We are seeking a skilled and craft-oriented Senior UX Designer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join the Otis Accelerator during a pivotal moment as a Senior UX Designer to make a significant impact across multiple products and platforms, enhancing the experience of over 1 million users. Your expertise in user-centered design and innovation will play a crucial role in shaping our products and driving user satisfaction.
Responsibilities
You will drive the creation of exceptional user experiences by balancing user needs with business goals. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay updated on industry trends to deliver innovative design solutions. This role requires a proactive problem-solver committed to enhancing overall user experiences. Role, responsibilities, and experience include the following:
6+ years of experience, with a robust understanding of user-centered design methodologies, design thinking and best practices.
Experience in working on B2B and enterprise-level products and platforms.
Ability to balance user, business and technology goals.
Advocate for the user throughout the design and development process.
Deep Experience in end-to-end design delivery, including conducting user research and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
Develop user personas, journey maps, and mental models based on research findings.
Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform design decisions and measure the success of design solutions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, information architecture and other interaction designs artifacts.
Lead by example in design craftsmanship, to achieve excellence in user-centered design practices, ensuring consistency and quality across all deliverables.
Proficiency in industry standard design tools such as Figma and Figjam.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment to define and implement design solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate design decisions and collaborating with stakeholders.
Work effectively on multiple, concurrent projects.
Current with industry trends, tools and technologies to deliver innovative solutions through enhanced design processes.
A passion for creating exceptional user experiences and solving design problems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
Proven ability through a strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of UX principles, processes, experience mapping, information architecture and interaction design.
Excellent team collaboration, communication and cross-functional skills.
Capability to handle various projects and adjust to shifting priorities.
Deep Experience with user research methods, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing.
A strong understanding of accessibility standards and how to design inclusive user experiences.
Experience in designing for various platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
Familiar with lean UX, agile and scrum processes.
Knowledge in OOUX is a plus.
The salary range for this role is $100,000-$140,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future. Pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
