Job Description
We are looking for Interior Designers with 4+ years’ experience with a strong background in residential or hospitality design to join our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work with Principal and design team to manage and execute projects from design stage through completion based on Principal’s visions and expectations.
2. Create and manage project timelines and budgets meticulously.
3. Responsible for meeting or exceeding design, budgetary, and timeline goals for projects.
4. Develop interior design schemes including color, materials, sourcing furniture, fabrics, case goods, lighting and material selections.
5. Extensive market knowledge for sourcing architectural and decorative items is expected.
6. Work with the design team to create client presentations using various media including mood boards and material boards.
7. Work with the design team to develop detailed design and construction drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical details, schedules (finish, plumbing, door, fixture), furniture floor plans, FF&E specifications, materials and finishes.
8. Work with Principal to design and develop custom cabinetry and millwork details.
9. Understand and anticipate technical implications of design decisions.
10. Lead and coordinate design review and contractor meetings.
11. Develop architectural finish specifications and coordinate with project architects, contractor and review plans and details to ensure proper coordination of finishes and item numbers.
12. Review samples, strike offs etc. for compliance with specification and overall design intent .
13. Work with design team to develop detailed schedules including finish, plumbing, door, fixture, furniture, FF&E.
14. Review shop drawings for content and accuracy and ensure that they are fully coordinated with all pertinent consultant drawings.
15. Review and approve FF&E purchase orders, coordinate final placement of FF&E installation with all parties invoiced, and maintain FF&E budget for all phases of the project interiors.
16. Manage relationships and interface with clients, vendors, contractors, architects in a professional manner.
17. Ability to manage a team through strong leadership, effective communication, collaboration, motivation and respect.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of 4 years residential design experience preferred. Four year degree from an accredited interior design program required.
2. AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office proficiency a must.
3. Must have strong organization and time management skills to handle more than one project simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
4. Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
5. Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other co-workers.
6. Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and resolving problems, and utilizing sound judgement and reasoning skills.
