Job Description
This position is contingent upon successful contract proposal submission and award.
Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) and Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a Technical Editor and Curriculum Designer. This position requires extensive experience in training curriculum development and management, specifically within a Navy training command or an equivalent environment.
The Technical Editor and Curriculum Designer shall be an individual with a robust background in Navy training management and curriculum development, as well as a commitment to enhancing the training effectiveness and readiness of the Pacific Fleet. The candidate should possess excellent communication and organizational skills, enabling them to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders and contribute to a well-prepared naval force.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Training Curriculum Development:
- Develop and design group-paced instructional materials in compliance with Navy curriculum development standards and guidelines.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to advise on development procedures and formatting for curricula documents and instructional delivery methods.
- Curriculum Management:
- Manage Navy curriculum to ensure it supports unit training effectively, aligning with evolving training standards and requirements.
- Execute configuration management processes for training materials, ensuring all instructional content remains accurate and up-to-date.
- Quality Assurance and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze training effectiveness and compliance with established training standards.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to the CNSP and ATGPAC training standards based on best practices and analysis of training outcomes.
- Administrative Support:
- Support departmental executive functions, including scheduling, conflict management, and quality assurance for training programs.
- Assist in the generation and certification of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) training requirements.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze data related to training metrics and performance to enhance training effectiveness and operational readiness.
- Participate in the assessment of training programs to ensure alignment with mission area certification requirements.
Experience:
- Training Curriculum Management: At least 5 years of experience in training curriculum, doctrine, or management at a Navy training command or equivalent.
- Instructional Materials Development: Proven experience in developing instructional materials in accordance with Navy standards.
- Advisory Role: Experience advising SMEs on curriculum development and instructional delivery procedures.
- Configuration Management: Hands-on experience executing configuration management processes for training materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for creating reports, presentations, and documentation.
Knowledge of:
- Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM): Strong knowledge of the SFTRM and its implications for training processes and requirements.
- Navy Curriculum Standards: In-depth understanding of Navy curriculum development standards, ensuring that training materials align with strategic objectives.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree (No specific discipline)
Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
