The 2025 Business Development, Marketing and Communications (BDMC) Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity for students who are interested in exploring careers within a law firm and support our commitment to inclusion, diversity and equity within the legal community. We are currently in our fourth year and are looking forward to welcoming students to an excellent summer within our marketing team.
This role has mandatory attendance Monday-Friday 9am-5pm local time from June 2, 2025-July 25, 2025. Please be sure you are able to commit to these dates prior to application. All successful candidates will follow our hybrid policy of 3 days in office and 2 remote.The role is open in the following locations: Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York, Washington DC and San Francisco. Housing is not provided.
Role purposeTo be an integral part of the Firm's North America BD team, supporting the implementation of strategic business development, client development, and marketing activities in the region.Main responsibilitiesFirm Profiling and Events:Works with the NA BD team to execute webinars and special events taking place in our major NA marketsDrafts and edits presentations, internal communications, and external communications, with oversight from the NA BD teamUpdates and maintains client mailing listsUpdates event budgets based on actual and projected spendBusiness Development and Client Development:Supports the NA BD team by editing and formatting proposals and capability statementsWorking with the NA BD team, supports strategic client development projects, and provides support for activities that focus on target clients in the regionUses internal databases to research client financial information such as revenue, billing, matters, and timekeepersCreates reports on client activity in the region, with oversight from the NA BD teamSupports the NA BD team with requests for client research, including liaising with the Firm's global research teamMarketing Collateral and Brand Management:Makes edits to marketing collateral, as directed by the NA BD teamDrafts and edits attorney and economist CVs, as directed by the NA BD teamUpdates internal NA BD website and databases, as directed by the NA BD teamResearches branded promotional items to be used at client programs, and places orders when instructed by the NA BD teamProcesses payments for promotional items with the Firm's accounting teams
