Overview:Russell Tobin is thrilled to support one of our

leading American fashion retailer

clients with a significant project for the upcoming fall and holiday season.

We are seeking 14 talented resources to join their Technical Design team

Key Responsibilities:Individual contributor position responsible for executing the technical design process from development to final fit.Responsible for analyzing and evaluating garments to develop the correct fit specifications.Ensures that products are developed in a manner consistent with established fit quality, standards, manufacturer capabilities and cost specifications.Develops technical specifications and communicates fit to vendors/factories for approvals and corrections.Makes appropriate adjustments with factories as required to ensure integrity of design approved prototypes while monitoring quality and targeted price.Typically reports to Technical Services Manager.Typically directs Assistant or Associate Technical Designers.

Required Qualifications:7+ years experience in technical design with intimates/apparelLooking for resources that have participated or owned their own fittings, can write up fit comments & pattern correction, have centric training, excel/illustrator/Flex PLM etc.Proven ability to conduct independent fittings and make necessary adjustments.Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent experience.Strong experience with technical tools such as Excel, Illustrator, and Flex PLM.Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve fit and design challenges.Experience working with plus-size garments is a plus.
