GENERAL SUMMARY INFORMATION:
Under the general supervision of the Vice President Retail Marketing and Community Relations (VPRMCR), the Director of Branding, Advertising & Merchandising (DBAM) oversees Island Energy’s family of brands, including the Texaco fuels brand and AMA convenience store brand. This position also manages retail partnerships, category performance, and merchandising within the company-owned and operated convenience (COCO) stores.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and lead implementation of a one-to-five year marketing plan with S.M.A.R.T. goals and objectives.
- Increase Market Share by improving consumer loyalty and attracting new customers.
- Grow Non-Fuel Revenues and Market Share through innovative processes and technology.
- Develop and implement a plan to expand the Ama convenience store brand across the retail network.
Promotions, Branding and Marketing
- Steward promotions and programs including community outreach events.
- Manage a substantial advertising budget and lead external advertising professionals.
- Plan and execute quarterly station level promotions.
- Manage the Texaco in Hawaii website and social media channels.
Business Growth Opportunities
- Research and analyze business growth opportunities with key stakeholders.
- Provide Retail segment performance on a weekly, quarterly basis.
- Grow MTO program through new recipe creation.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Champion safety and maintain a high standard of safety.
- Collaborate with COCO Operations team to ensure business results.
- Evaluate employee performance and oversee training of assigned personnel.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
1. Five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in marketing roles.
2. College Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or similar major preferred.
Skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Strong sense of team spirit and ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite.
Other Requirements
- Willingness to commit to IES core values.
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
- This is not a remote or hybrid position.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
Island Energy Services offers a competitive salary that commensurate with qualifications and experience. The hiring annualized salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000. IES offers a comprehensive health and welfare package including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, 401k, and more!
