CVRM Science Communications Director

to help lead our narrative in Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism (CVRM) through innovative communication strategies. You will work in close partnership with senior scientists and leaders within the R&D team to amplify our science story through various high-profile communication channels.Your ResponsibilitiesCritical Communication:

Develop external communication strategies to improve AstraZeneca's reputation as a leader in CVRM science.

Content Creation:

Generate and disseminate impactful science content across internal and external channels.

Social Media Strategy:

Build and lead our CVRM science social media presence, adapting campaigns for a variety of platforms.

Media Planning:

Support media and investor relations planning with key scientific messages and global press release input.

Internal Engagement:

Implement internal communications programs that boost employee engagement and brand awareness.

Leadership Support:

Offer communications support, messaging frameworks, and coaching to the CVRM Leadership team.

Your QualificationsCrucialExperience:

8-10 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on corporate communication experience.

Educational Foundation:

University degree in life sciences or a related field.

Pharma Communications Experience:

Proven record of delivering content-rich communication programs in the pharmaceutical industry.

Scientific Content Expertise:

Ability to build and adapt scientific content for diverse audiences.

Stakeholder Management:

Experience in maintaining relationships and optimally presenting alternative viewpoints at all levels.

Digital Marketing Proficiency:

Proven success in multi-channel social media and digital campaigns.

DesirablePharma Industry Insight:

Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical drug discovery and development process.

Strategic and Hands-On:

Ability to combine critical thinking with hands-on delivery.

Team Collaboration:

A strong great teammate with a high level of personal accountability.

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to present results and influence partners.
