We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Product Designer to join our team. This role will be responsible for crafting engaging and user-centered designs that enhance client system usability, functionality, and visual appeal. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their skills in user interface design, user experience research, human centered design, and product design principles, with a focus on delivering intuitive and seamless software system experiences.
HOW A HUMAN FACTORS ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Applies human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products
User Research and Analysis:
Conduct user research through surveys, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights into user behavior and needs
Develop user personas, journey maps, and conduct competitive analysis to inform design decisions
Translate research findings into actionable insights that drive design improvements and product features
UI/UX Design and Development:
Design wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes that illustrate functionality and user interactions
Create visually appealing and consistent UI elements that align with client vison of UI/UX journey
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design coherence and functionality across various product features
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other product designers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, objectives, and constraints
Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, task leads, incorporating feedback to iterate on design solutions
Work with developers to ensure accurate usage of UI/UX design and maintain quality
Design Systems and Guidelines:
Contribute to and help maintain the design system, including components, style guides, and UI patterns
Ensure consistency across the product by define and documenting reusable components and design guidelines
Usability Testing and Iteration:
Conduct usability testing to identify areas for improvements, gathering quantitative and qualitative data on user experience
Analyze user feedback and data to refine and iterate designs, continuously enhancing the product experience
Stay Updated on Industry Trends:
Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices to keep client’s product innovative and competitive
Suggest new tools and methodologies that can enhance the design process and improve team efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience:
5+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design/human-centered design and interaction
Experience working with design tools such as Figma
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and grid systems
Proficiency in prototyping and wireframing tools
Familiarity with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus (not required)
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to articulate design decisions clearly
Strong problem-solving abilities and a user-centered mindset
Detail-oriented with a passion for creating engaging and intuitive user experiences

The likely salary range for this position is $116,979 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
