This role requires a mix of technical aptitude, significant API and developer-facing documentation experience, communication skills, deep knowledge of grammar and punctuation, as well as strong project management skills. This is a hybrid role , in our Sunnyvale office, supporting a global team.

What you will do:

Gather information, interview subject matter experts ( SME s ) , and conduct research .Partner closely with e ngineering, p roduct, o perations, and o nboarding teams to i dentify content gaps .Work with p roduct stakeholders to identify API audience information , requirements, and documentation deliverables .Synthesize content requests and data from multiple sources into accurate documentation and cohesive content plans .Write and publish best-in-class API reference documentation, Postman collections, tutorials, getting started guides, FAQ s , troubleshooting, and release notes .Participate in the team's efforts to establish API documentation style and process guidelines .Understand how end users use API-related documentation and advocate for end - user needs to produce successful documentation.M ake recommendations to help the team choose the best API documentation writing and publishing tools .Contribute to the ongoing evolution of API documentation , strategy , design , and implementation .Provide peer reviews and coaching for team members .Track and report project schedules and assignments while working toward set deadlines.BA /BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a relevant area15 + years of experience in technical product documentation10 + years of experience in developer-facing API documentation5+ years of developer experienceExperience with Postman , linting tools , using a command line interface, GitHub, HTML, and CSSKnowledge of API technical concepts, webhooks, authentication, and authorizationProficiency in extracting SME knowledge and communicating it in a meaningful wayA passion for understanding the end-user's needsExcellent planning, organizational, and execution skills , with an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentKnowledge of technical writing standards and the ability to adhere to a style guideA track record of excellent communication and cooperation, preferably in a global and culturally diverse organizationExcellent writing skills and the ability to make complex topics easy and engagingWhat you will bring:

Sunnyvale, California US-04397:The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
