Social Media Intern

The Social Media Intern will assist with driving fan acquisition by creating engaging social media. They will be responsible for creating player narratives for the pre-season and season and then capturing content to support those narratives. This person will report to the General Manager and will have access to ownership andteam captains/coaches.
Roles & Responsibilities
Pre-Season Social Media (January - March) Help create narratives for the off-season, centered around the players, coaching staff, tryouts, and roster release Attend tryouts and practices to film and interview players Set up other times to interview players as needed Create content for social media In-Season Social Media (April - August)
Continue to develop narratives to help drive fan engagement and game attendance Attend games and post live-stream clips, scores, interviews Attend practices (at least one weekly) to capture player footage and interviews Create content for social media Schedule Details Primarily Work from Home Must reside in Utah Greatest workload during the Season Flexible weekly work schedule based on team schedule and events Will include weekends and some evenings Pre-season - In-person presence required for Open and Closed Tryouts and some practices Season - In-person presence required for all home games and at least one practice a week Compensation
The Social Media Intern is an unpaid internship position and can fulfill course credit. Weekly hours will vary based on the time of the year (Preseason, Season) and can be flexible around class scheduling. Education Major in Sport Marketing or Sports Management preferred Major in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or Public Relations also acceptable Skills
Required Photo and video editing experience Verbal and written communications Reliable transportation year round Personal Characteristics Reliable and Accountable Attention to Detail and Well Organized Outgoing, Enthusiastic, and Engaging Entrepreneurial and Ambitious
