Ultimate Play provides ultimate frisbee youth leagues, clinics, and summer camps, as well as adult leagues, and other recreational tournaments. We want to create affordable and accessible recreation leagues where athletes with no prior playing experience can fall in love with ultimate. Ultimate Play hosts events across Utah, but primarily in Utah County, Salt Lake County, and Cache Valley. Ultimate Play is a partner organization of the Salt Lake Shred, the professional men's ultimate frisbee team in Utah.
The Ultimate Play Social Media Intern will assist with promoting Ultimate Play leagues, events, and clinics through engaging social media videos and graphics. They will be responsible for creating content that captures the athleticism of ultimate frisbee and the joy and camaraderie of the ultimate frisbee community.
Roles & Responsibilities
Attend Ultimate Play events The intern will need to regularly attend Ultimate Play events to talk to participants and to take photos and video Create social media content
Create content to promote upcoming leagues, clinics, and events Highlight on-going leagues, clinics, and events and the people participating in them Report on league and event winners or significant events Increase Ultimate Play social media engagement
Increase followers Increase amount of content being published Schedule Details Primarily Work from Home Must reside in Utah Flexible weekly work schedule based on leagues and events - intern will not need to attend every league night, but enough throughout the season to create daily content Will include weekends and evenings Compensation
The Social Media Intern is an unpaid internship position and can fulfill course credit. Weekly hours will vary based on Ultimate Play's event schedule and can be flexible around class scheduling. Education Major in Sport Marketing or Sports Management preferred Major in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, or Public Relations also acceptable Skills
Required Photography - able to capture clear photos of athletes in action Filmography - able to capture athletic plays Photography and video editing experience Verbal and written communications Reliable transportation year round Personal Characteristics Reliable and Accountable Attention to Detail and Well Organized Outgoing, Enthusiastic, and Engaging Entrepreneurial and Ambitious
