Position Summary: As the Technical Director for Centrium, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the technical face of Centrium to customers, suppliers, and other business partners. Your role will encompass sales and customer support with a solutions-based consultative approach, supplier partner engagement, and driving meaningful, revenue-generating innovation with our expanding industrial product portfolio. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our high industry standards and achieving our strategic goals in the industrial marketplace. You will also be the key person driving the new Centrium formulated products range.

Core Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Participation :

Work closely with leadership to contribute to high-level strategic planning, ensuring the technical voice is heard in all major decisions. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and regulatory, to align technical initiatives with broader company goals. Supplier Partner Collaboration :

Engage with suppliers to identify solutions that meet industry challenges. Act as a technical liaison between suppliers and customers, facilitating new product introductions and field trials. Technical Team Leadership: Manage technical operations for Centrium, ensuring appropriate resourcing/staffing (including budget), efficient workflows, and adherence to safety and compliance protocols. Maintain an in-person lab presence. Recruit, train, mentor, and lead a specialized team of support staff. Stakeholder Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, regulatory, and other technical staff to align laboratory activities supporting Centrium with broader company goals. Provide prompt and creative technical support to our sales team and customers. Field and Customer Engagement :

Serve as the primary technical resource for our oil and gas customers, with a focus on customer visits, and hands-on problem-solving. Provide consultative, solutions-based support in the areas of oilfield production chemicals, ensuring customer satisfaction and relationship growth. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for formulated product development that Centrium can market under its own brand in oilfield production sectors. Lead the introduction of innovative testing methods and process improvements that align with market needs.

Key Qualifications: Alignment with core values of Authentic Ownership, Who Before What, 100-Year Mindset, In The Arena, and Do The Right Thing Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in a similar technical leadership role within the oilfield chemical industry, with a specialized focus on specialty oil and gas applications. Strong knowledge of oilfield formulations, specifically corrosion inhibition, flow assurance, Scale inhibition and performance testing methodologies. Excellent project management skills, including budget management and resource allocation. In-depth understanding of the regulatory requirements and industry standards related to the industrial chemicals market. (TSCA, EPA, FIFRA, DSL, etc.) Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to successfully engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strategic thinking and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Oil & Gas chemical sector. Leadership qualities, including decisiveness, adaptability, creativity, people-first, and a results-oriented approach. Ability to travel in-person to support the sales team, approx. 10-20%.
