General Position Summary Graphic Designers for the Space Needle & Chihuly Garden and Glass create compelling content, improve the guest experience through intentional design, and strengthen our brands at every touchpoint. Based on the brands’ existing visual identities and ongoing campaigns, you will be responsible for producing quality and recognizable deliverables across markets, audiences, and digital channels. You must be able to conceptualize independently and in collaboration, as well as convert concepts into meaningful communication. In this role, you should have proficiency in producing digital elements, print materials, and contributing creative ideas. Primary Functions: Production of day-to-day graphic design for organizational deliverables. Our team spends about half of their time keeping the on-site experience fresh and relevant (i.e. signage, digital assets, menus, managing templates, email marketing etc.), and half of their time working on new projects (i.e. seasonal campaigns, new experiences in retail and food & beverage, and executive/shareholder projects). Manages design requests using project management software and ensures completion of tasks within deadlines. Coordinates production of company collateral (flyers, menus, signage, brochures, etc.) with external vendors. Member of the Brand Committee, charged with development and advocacy of brand guidelines and standards. Work alongside Marketing and PR team to translate organizational strategies into creative concepts and campaigns. Ensure that all creative campaigns and communications promote the overall brand identity. Capable of end-to-end execution of creative concepts. Planning and on-site coordination of photography for major campaigns. Other Responsibilities: Help concept and develop end-to-end branded experiences that create emotional connections with visitors. Use understanding of customer behavior to solve real Guest problems. Play a role in branded experience development in partnership with the Marketing, Public Relations, and Technology teams. Be an active contributing member of a culture of creative thinking and innovation with internal teams as well as external partners. Measure success in terms of business metrics. Mandatory attendance for New Year’s Eve (December 31). Managing relationships with vendors. Qualifications Design chops – you are a super user of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and InDesign, and can perform tasks quickly and flawlessly. Independent and well-organized with strong project management skills using online project management tools (our team uses ClickUp). You’ve got to care about people, and be passionate about our Guests. Understanding hospitality, wanting to give people a seamless experience, and putting smiles on people’s faces every day must make you excited! Good written and verbal communicator. A strong work ethic and great sense of humor. Experience managing multiple projects at once, resolving competing priorities, working swiftly under pressure, and meeting project deadlines. Knowledge of photography is a plus (i.e. creating storyboards, using camera equipment, photo styling and art direction). Education, Experience and Skills Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 2-3 years professional marketing/advertising experience strongly preferred. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and After Effects required. Excellent organizational skills. Working in a fast-paced office environment. Able to work occasional evenings or weekends as requested. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Able to lift and carry 35 pounds. Full Time, Hourly Position Hourly Rate: $30.77 - $43.27 / hour DOE Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long Term Disability 401k plan, we will match 50% of the first 6% you contribute, equivalent to 3% of your wages. Deferred compensation into 401(k) account at company Shareholder discretion. Eligible to begin participating after one year of service with an annual plan entry date of October 1st. Paid Personal Days (10 per year). Paid Time Off of 14 days / year based on working 2080 hours / year. Tuition reimbursement of 50%, up to $2500 / year.
